The cheek lift concealer hack that is going viral!

By: Andee Robb

Move over, contouring - there's a new makeup hack in town and it's taking TikTok by storm!

Say hello to the viral concealer cheek lift, a simple trick that's transforming dull and flat faces into chiseled and glowing works of art. With just a few dots of concealer, this super simple hack means you don’t have to be a pro to look like one!

Step 1: Grab your favorite concealer and make sure it's a shade or two lighter than your skin tone. I love the brightening effect it has on the skin! Try: Skin Twin Creamy Concealer in 20 shades

Step 2: Apply dots of concealer under your cheekbones, extending from the apple of your cheek towards your hairline. Make sure to blend the dots together to create a smooth, continuous line.

Step 3: Take a beauty blender or your fingers and blend the concealer upwards and outwards to create a lifted, sculpted look. I love Beautycounter's Better Blender!

Step 4: Apply the rest of your makeup as usual, but don't be afraid to go a little extra on the highlight! Try Cheeky Clean Blush and Highlighting Balm for skin loving ingredients that are EWG Verified™️. This hack is all about making your cheekbones pop, so make sure to show them off!

And that's it!

With this simple trick, you'll be turning heads and breaking hearts in no time. So go ahead, give it a try, and tag me on social media @becounterforgood so I can see!

And if you were like me, thinking ... "Why do I need a blender sponge anyway??" Take a peek at the graphic below to see just how multi-faceted and helpful this simple little tool can be.

Then follow my top three tips:

1. Store it in a cool, dry place ... and always dampen your blender sponge before applying makeup. That way, your sponge won't absorb the product, leading to unnecessary and costly waste.

2. Be sure to wash your blender sponge after each use to extend its useful life. I love using a simple bar of Dr. Bronner's Castile Soap. Run the sponge under warm water and swirl it on the wet soap bar, rinse and squeeze out the excess water. Make this your nighttime routine and you'll wake up with a perfectly damp sponge for your AM makeup application.

3. Lastly, I highly recommend replacing your blend every 3-6 months depending on signs of wear and tear. This way you avoid dust and bacteria that can collect over time. Ewww, David.
